This is the pre-cursor to the Icon Painter's Handbook. I wrote this for use with my students while I was running the Bethlehem Icon School at the Bethlehem Icon Centre in Palestine, where it is still in use I believe. It is a bundle of notes and is not developed properly but contains some useful material. This is not a commercial publication. I strongly recommend buying the Icon Painter's Handbook if you find this useful, though not everything covered here is in the first volume of the IPH.
